Tyler is the founder of INERTmugs, a Marine Corps veteran, former Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, Purple Heart recipient, and current Explosive Specialist with the TSA. His military and explosives background inspired the creation of INERTmugs, which blends tactical design, military humor, and distinctive drinkware.

After leaving the Marine Corps, Tyler continued working in explosives-related roles, including UXO clearance, pyrotechnics, and military training support. Outside of work, he is a husband and father and supports organizations such as the EOD Warrior Foundation and other veteran-focused programs centered on recovery, community, and connection.
